Associate Professor and Head of Studies at MSc Technology Entrepreneurship Carina Lomberg has been appointed Professor in Psychology of Entrepreneurship at DTU Entrepreneurship
Psychology plays a crucial role in entrepreneurship, offering significant benefits to all stages of the entrepreneurial journey. Psychology also plays a key role in building entrepreneurial communities (such as at universities), and in how such communities come to benefit society as a whole.
For better education, integrating psychology into entrepreneurship programmes enriches the curriculum – and provides more qualified entrepreneurial students. In a broader context, psychology also enables students in general to be more efficient in bringing innovative solutions to success.
The appointment of Carina Lomberg is an important part of further strengthening DTU Entrepreneurship’s position as an international leader in entrepreneurship, both in the academic as well as in the practice arena.
“Huge congratulation to Carina with her well-deserved appointment. Carina’s research profile and publications demonstrate her ability to act as an independent research leader especially within entrepreneurship and mental health. She has a profound international network and a strong track record of achieved grant funding, most recently within one of the important research focus areas at the centre; entrepreneurship and mental health.
Furthermore, Carina has a strong teaching portfolio which includes extensive teaching experience, ranging from BSc/MSc to executive and PhD-level.
Carina played an essential part in building both our centre and the successful MSc Technology Entrepreneurship programme. She was the supervisor of our very first PhD student from DTU Entrepreneurship and since then additional students have completed their PhD supervised or co-supervised by her.
Carina serves in various academic boards and has a broad international experience across different institutions both technology centered and business.
In general Carina plays an important and valued role here in our day-to-day activities at the centre, in DTU’s ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship and worldwide across the research community within psychology of entrepreneurship, mental health, nascent entrepreneurship, new venture teams and inclusive entrepreneurship.
I would like to thank Carina for contributing with her research-, education- and personal qualities and skills. We are proud to add a professor in psychology of entrepreneurship to our excellent team of scientific and administrative employees at our centre”, says Jes Broeng, Professor and Director of DTU Entrepreneurship.
The date for Carina Lomberg’s inaugural speech is not set yet.
